Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things 210!
It was another week full of blessings and favorites. Our beloved college football team, The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, won the home game.
Our out-of-town, out-of-state family came to tailgate with us. We celebrated our nephew’s recent engagement. Our niece, Lt. Dr. Jenna Richards got proposed to right there on campus! He got on one knee at a special location, at a tree with a plaque that honors her and her family. They are all ND graduates.
We met the newest addition to our family, a precious boy #3, Owen. The girls in our family outnumber the boys by 11:3. So, how can I pick just one favorite? I can’t.
And a funny story: my daughter’s friend (whom I’ve never met before) came up to me thinking I was her. Later, my husband turned to her to say something, also thinking she was me. It didn’t help that we both had our hair done the same way and had black shirts underneath our sweatshirts.
To top it off, later that same day, I looked at the photo of her (that I took!) and thought it was me. She didn’t think it was funny, until she saw the same photo and, as well, thought it was me. Whether she likes it or not, she’s looking just like her mama, lol.
Snapshots from that day:
Alyvia – those eyes!
The famous confusing photo of Andrea (or me) with Ava. My fearless little granddaughter went up to the horses and pet them forever. It was hard to peal her off!
Richards’ family plaque
Family, although not complete, tailgating at the ND game.
