small or 2 large apples
cored and sliced (I used Honeycrisp, my favorite)
⅔
cup
sugar
Juice of one lemon
2
cinnamon sticks
2
whole cloves
2
cans or bottles of light beer

washed and sliced

Instructions
In a medium-size saucepan add sliced apples, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon sticks, and cloves. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Lower the heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved, about 3-5 minutes.
Let cool completely. Stir in beer and lemon slices.
Refrigerate until ready to serve. Serve chilled.

If you prefer, peel the apples. Infused with alcohol, they are a delicious treat on their own.
Serve the punch in a punch bowl.
Double or triple the recipe for a larger crowd.
