Comfort Food from Belarus
Today's diet of Belarus includes many traditional dishes. The cuisine shares similarities with cuisines of other Eastern, Central, and Northeastern European countries, basing predominantly based on meat and various vegetables typical for the region.
The Belarusian cuisine widely uses local produce: vegetables and greens. Most used vegetables are cabbages, turnips, beets, carrots, parsnips, pumpkins, potatoes, cucumbers, onions, and garlic.
