Italian Iced Tea
I'm not a drinker, but what is better after a long hard day at work than a cold glass of iced tea? Italian iced tea that is. I like an occasional cocktail that is not too strong because I can't hold my liquor. Even half a glass of wine makes my limbs like rubber. This cocktail is not too strong and is so simple to make with only three ingredients.
I can't believe I was ever to say these words, but I am looking forward to fall (and consequently winter). I want to kiss this summer goodbye! It was too hot, too humid, too rainy with major floods, and way too long.
The temps are still in the nineties (Fahrenheit) and mosquitoes are thriving. I have never seen that many! Imagine Hitchcock's movie Birds but with mosquitoes. I kid you not. I'm constantly waving my arms like those wacky inflatable tube people you see at car dealerships. Winter can't come soon enough to kill off those bloodsuckers!
Husband spent pretty money on some special bug repellent but, alas, it's only for outdoors. Hence we picnicked outside in spite of buggy bugs and enjoyed a glass of Italian iced tea, undisturbed.
How's the weather in your neck of the woods? Are you ready for the season to change?

Thank you for the five-star reviews, April! I love easy cocktails and this one is definitely that. 🙂
Jas, that looks like a nice refreshing drink, adding ginger ale would be wonderful. Excuse my ignorance but I was looking for some tea in the glass 🙂 We don't normally drink iced tea here but it is slowly catching on.
This post was popular on the Blogger's Pit Stop so be looking for a feature.

Kathleen, it's the name of the cocktail. There is no actual tea in it. I should add that in the title so it's not deceiving. Thank you so much for the feature! 🙂
Oh this looks like a perfect summer refresher!
Thanks, Amy! I agree!

Thank you, Tracy! 😀
I do enjoy a glass of wine but this sounds good. I am going to put ginger ale on the shopping list. I already have the Martini and Rossi 🙂
I hope you try it, Debra! Let me know how you like it 🙂
I am a wine drinker myself but I cannot pass up a nice refreshing iced tea. Jas, are the bloodsuckers gone yet? I know something must be wrong when you say you want winter to arrive. Truth be told, I've also had enough of the summertime.
Lol, Mary, I know how much you like winter! Yes, I am ready for it to cool down, slow down, and to hibernate. The blood suckers are still here but not as many. This summer was too busy, it was hot, it was disastrous, and too long. 😀
This sounds refreshing!! Thanks for sharing at Throwback Thursday!
