This strawberry frozen yogurt is our favorite summer treat. It's creamy, light, refreshing, and super easy to make with only 3 ingredients.
You don't need an ice cream machine to make this treat, but you do need a food processor or a blender. Only THREE ingredients are mixed together and frozen. It doesn't get any easier than this!
Even better: it's so light, you can have an extra scoop without the guilt.
Sure, it's easy to buy a container of frozen yogurt and call it a day. But I never really know what's in it. Not that I'm ingredients Nazi, but I am being conscious of what's on the labels as much as the next guy.
So, I'd rather make it from scratch especially when it's so easy. Besides, I had extra yogurt that I was trying to use up for days. More on that in another post. I was coming up with all kinds of recipes with yogurt, ha!
In case you're wondering what kind of strawberries are those in the pictures: We planted a few musk strawberry plants in our backyard just three years ago and they are spreading rapidly.
They are larger than wild strawberries but smaller than regular and oh-so-sweet and fragrant (and a great groundcover, as you can see behind my hand).
This froyo is just as creamy as ice cream, delicious, and not overly sweet. A perfect summer treat for the whole family.
Ingredients:
- frozen or fresh strawberries
- plain full-fat Greek yogurt
- condensed milk
Directions:
- In a food processor, blend together all ingredients until creamy.
- Transfer it to an airtight freezable container and freeze for a minimum 6 hours but preferably overnight.
- Serve the frozen yogurt immediately or keep frozen in an airtight container until ready to serve.
Recipe Tips:
- Use different fruit for different flavors. If using frozen fruit, especially large pieces like peaches, cut them down to go easy on your food processor.
- Substitute condensed milk with honey. Start with ¼ cup and add more if necessary.
- Only use the full-fat yogurt - it's creamier, although not as healthy.
- Frozen yogurt is best when enjoyed the same day. If it's frozen for longer than a day, it will become a solid block.
- Freeze it in individual containers or make a smaller batch.
- Thaw it for 15-20 minutes before serving.
- Add a little sugar (¼ cup per quart) Sugar inhibits the formation of ice crystals and also keeps the frozen yogurt creamy.
- Pre-scoop it then put it back in the freezer.
- Portion out the frozen yogurt in muffin cups.
What is no-churn?
The ice cream or yogurt base is where it all begins. Unlike some bases, this one doesn't require an ice cream maker nor any cooking. The condensed milk acts as the thick base.

Oh my goodness, Jas! This looks absolutely delicious--and brilliant! We love frozen yogurt and ice cream, but it's always such a hassle to get out the ice cream maker. I've pinned this for future reference, because it looks DELICIOUS and so easy!
Thanks so much for joining the Grace at Home party at Imparting Grace. I'm featuring you this week!
Many thanks, Richella! Since I discovered no-churn version, I've been making my own ice creams and frozen yogurts. At least I know what's in it, now just to find out how to remove all the calories, lol. Hugs
I have pinned this for later #brillblogposts
Thank you, Claire!

Aw, that's great! Thank you much, Miz Helen! Happy Holiday!
Jas I am sitting here in 100 degree heat thinking how amazing this would taste right now. But I can't make it cause my blender broke down and I'm not getting a new one. So I'm pinning it for when I get that blender in the near future!!
It doesn't get any easier than this!!
Aw, shucks! But, you could add some white wine and sugar to plain yogurt and just mix with a mixer or a whisk. A happy hour frozen yogurt. 😉 That should go on the blog next, lol.
I have had several disasters over the years trying to make frozen yogurt (think needing to slice it with a large knife!) and had pretty much given up - till now. I'm pinning and plan to try this recipe this summer, thanks.
Hi, Julie! Frozen yogurt is tricky. If it's frozen for more than a day you will need a large knife, but there are few tricks that can help. I just updated the ~ Free Tip ~ section with those tricks. Thanks for letting me know your dilemma. It was a good reminder to add more helpful hints. Have a great day!
why would anyone buy ice cream with all the chemicals when you can make ice cream like this. Looks amazing
Beats me too, lol. Thanks for stopping in, Judee!

Now this is my kind of recipe. So simple but good. I like that there is just 3 ingredients and no cooking. I really like frozen yogurt and can't wait to try various flavors. Thank you for sharing at Sugar and Spice link party. Shared and pinned.
Thanks, Amy! 🙂
Hi Jas! This looks a delicious way to eat yogurt - something different. I make my own chocolate mocha ice cream by hand which is so tasty but not good for you to eat all the time. This is a healthier alternative. Thanks for the recipe.

Thank you, Sue! Mmm, chocolate mocha sounds delicious. I'd eat it in winter too. Stay warm!
Now this one I can do all by myself 😉 and I don't care that it's Winter here either.
As long as you don't have to turn on the stove, right? LOL. Keep forgetting it's winter there. Darn. Brrr.
