Tired of the same old breakfast options? You will love this delicious fruit and nuts monkey breakfast bowl because it's loaded with nutritious ingredients and it's a healthy option that adults and kids can agree upon. The bonus: it is naturally gluten-free.
Don't be put off by the labels like "vegan" and "gluten-free". If all vegan and gluten-free food would taste like this monkey bowl, I'd be signing up right now. If I'm being honest, it can't replace eggs and bacon, but it sure feels like dessert and you know I how much I love dessert for breakfast. Strawberry oatmeal cake, anyone? Another great healthy breakfast option!
I especially love that this fruit and nut monkey breakfast bowl satisfies my sugar cravings. I've been trying to make healthy food choices lately without compromising the flavor and sugar-free options or sugar substitutes are my new thing. Also, there are so many foods that are low in carbs that I truly enjoy. Food can be healthy without tasting like a cardboard. My latest obsession is beef and feta rissoles. Super yummy!
Monkey Breakfast Bowl with Fruit and Nuts
Now that spring is in full swing, it means we are more active and often skip breakfast due to our busy schedule. The best part, you can add all these ingredients into a jar and in just three minutes have on-the-go breakfast or snack that is not easily perishable.
Even better, it is approved or easily adjustable to comply with some popular diets like Paleo, Whole 30, Weight Watchers, Keto, and Atkins (replace banana with more berries).
Even the pickiest eaters will be happy with this yummy breakfast bowl. There really isn't a correct recipe to follow, it's more of a guidance. Use any fruit and nut combination you prefer. It is very satisfying, so don't load up your big bowl to the rim.
