Who doesn't love a shot of summer after a long day? This citrus drop shot is perfect to use up leftover orange, lemons, and limes. And it's so quick and easy to make.

When my daughter graduated from college, the two of us took a road trip to Florida. At the time, I was a single mom who only started building her life in the States a decade ago, and this vacation meant everything to me.
Of course, her accomplishment was worth celebrating across the country, but this journey was a selfish gift for me.
Not because I wanted to visit Florida, which I did, but because I knew this was my last chance to spend a few days alone with my only child.
The last time for just the two of us without daily chores and responsibilities, her friends, job, and her boyfriend, who, I suspected, had intentions to "put a ring on it" soon.
That was the last time I had my little girl just to myself. And the Orange State was a perfect place to bond.
Florida has a special place in my heart.
So when my blogging friends asked if I'd like to take part in a blog hop "Food Bloggers for Florida", just as we did for Texas, I did not hesitate.
My daughter and I enjoyed this citrus drop shot back then, so it comes as no surprise that I'm sharing the recipe. Every time the orange scent hits my nostrils, memories of our fun time together come rushing back.
Helping raise the funds and support the beautiful State devastated by hurricane Irma is the least I can do.
